More about Llum Barcelona

LLUM Barcelona was a Spanish lighting manufacturer active during the 1970s. Associated with the Barcelona-based company Diseños Especiales S.A., LLUM produced modern lamps distinguished by geometric forms, minimalist lines and adjustable lighting elements.

The designer most closely associated with LLUM was Ignasi Riera, who created a family of table, wall and floor lamps around 1970. His designs typically combine lacquered metal and chrome-plated steel with shades that can be tilted or adjusted in height to direct the light. Today, vintage LLUM Barcelona lamps represent the functional and experimental character of 1970s Spanish lighting design.
